Blimey. That's an introduction and a half. I don't even know where to begin...

Welcome redlantern.
Not HBMC, perhaps you are either Ye Olde King of Cynicism or Ye Olde King of Completely Missing Ye Olde Pointe. Maybe both?
Perhaps it's time to resurrect KKTs (Krappy Kustom Titles).

I dunno, redlantern seems pretty off the wall to me. They make it out like Hollywood has completely written out every single straight white male character (or that they're a minority now) when that is very much not the case. There's no denying that Hollywood today is more diverse (which is a good thing), but still nowhere near representative of the US's population. Or, in other words, it's still full of mostly straight white male characters. It's also a bit weird to call THAT the extreme left to me, and focusing on more diverse actors or characters in Hollywood reeks of personal insecurities about being "replaced," or whatever term you may want to use.
Oh, and the self-proclaimed intelligence is laughable. I feel they don't understand IQ tests or intelligence because IQ tests are a very poor representation of a person's intelligence and everything that makes up what we consider "intelligence." How do you compare say, a mechanic and a scientist? They're very two different fields. You could determine which has had more education, or a broader knowledge of certain subjects, or more in-depth knowledge of a particular subject, but without getting results from them on nearly every single subject and factoring in how much education they've each had, it's hard to say who is smarter. And how do weigh the subjects? Is in-depth knowledge of quantum mechanics worth more or less than the general fix-it knowledge of a handyman? Is the ability to run experiments worth more or less than more technical knowledge of say, being able to tear down and rebuild a car or industrial air conditioner? And that leads into the point I've kinda been dancing around I guess, but what subjects/subject matter the test is on matters a lot too, and the test most likely only focuses on a few areas the creator thinks were important, or wanted to test. (Fun fact, the original intelligence test was made to detect learning disabilities in French kids, and nothing more. It only became popular because of snobs misusing it as we see here.)
So, I think raising an eyebrow (or two, or doing more than just raising your eyebrows) is understandable when someone comes in with an intro like that.

Well, having actually met my Landlord and them being impressed with like….my basic hygiene and housekeeping and that?
I’ve just vomited the terms of my lease to him when it comes to refusing pets, as ‘pets won’t be refused good reason’
I’m so, so close to becoming a Doggo Daddy it’s not even funny. Because my Pup will be properly socialised and normalised and trained, because I want a happy waggy slobbery fulfilled idiot of a Doggo. And tha requires efforts and Munneh.

Are you planning to adopt a rescue dog? Looking for a particular breed or age?

Rescue would be ideal! Spesh as a first time owner, a senior that needs a new home seems suited.

Always good to get a dog who is already socialized and house trained.

Did you mean to post this in another thread? I mean, I don't care, it's fine either way. Just curious is all.
