Another damn migration? How many boards are we on now, since we got kicked off dakka? Or are we counting from when Kid Kyoto blew everything up, or Wazz went nuts? I count from when Russ's wife rooted us out of the WH40K CCG subforum. How long ago was that? |

Relatively speaking, you are. But then, relatively speaking so am I... When did I arrive? I think it was The Phantom Lord's OT Board MKII, when Skorpy brought me over after that Jedi Graduation Ceremony party over at Star Wars Chicks that got WAY out of hand... and I burnt the temple down.
*ahem*
But at least I'm old enough to have been in the comic!
Incidentally, I tried to find the Star Wars Chicks boards and the thread where it all went down, but all I found was a post on here, from three years ago, where I couldn't find the SWC boards and pretty much posted exactly what I have above, just with different words. Meh, they're two of my fondest online memories (the party and the comic), so it's nice to think about them again from time to time.

IIRC, the SWC boards blew up in a fountain of drama at one point, the community fragmented, and the board vanished with the demise of EZBoards. I'm proud to say I egged someone on to create the thread that caused the drama that destroyed the board. I remember when the OT board started after you all got kicked out of the Dakka Discussions bit of the dakka ezboard. |
