I heard the administration had requested Leni Riefenstahl to direct the TV side of the 4th of July celebration. They were sad to hear she was unavailable.

Free speach is shorthand for the 1st amendment. Oh yeah constitution smonstitution! So you mean that Facebook censoring conservatives or whatever bullshit isn't a free speech issue? Good. Likewise, we have immigration laws dictating how you can legally migrate here in the states. Those laws don't allow anyone to migrate though. Explicitely they don't, many won't get the authorization. Of course it is the answer. Brainfart on my part, should read "equivalent of" not answer. Saying "We will make it legal and easy for anyone to come in" absolutely isn't the same as saying "We should give amnesty if you manage to come in, after some time spend here"... I'd rather those detained in humane way instead of the old "catch and release" program. Did you make a typo, or misunderstand me? What I am saying is that you repeatedly shown that you would rather illegal immigrants (and some legal ones) be detained in *in*humane ways than the old "catch and release" program. Sure, you would rather illegal immigrants be detained in humane ways than in inhumane ways, but if humane ways aren't available, you would settle on inhumane ways rather than catch and release. Am I wrong on that? Most adjudicate Asylum cases are rejected. And? Go on, what do you get from that stat?

It’s a natural extension of him pardoning people convicted of war crimes. It’s not patriotic. Remember when he pardoned racist cop chief for breaking the law? "Tough on crime except if the criminals are part of the police force because what's better than a criminal police force?"

The SEAL medic admitted to aphinxiating the captured (who himself has immunity... wtf prosecutor!?!?). This case was whacked to begin with (prosecution was literally spying on the defense team) and I don't think Trump's "influence" really amounted to much.
Yeah, because if the guy was found guilty, Trump would have pardoned, and it would have jeopardized every American serviceman from now to the end of time. That's exactly What the Fuck. So, no, a whole fucking LOT of influence there.

Which begs the question:
Why the FUCK does the President have the right to circumvent the juciciary like that at will?!

Good for Amash. And Trump. Now the Republican party is utterly devoid of morals and ethics.

Normal president, right, whembly? Disloyal? Somebody should tell Trump that having his party bear the slogan 'my honor is loyalty' might not be the best of choices...

Which begs the question: Why the FUCK does the President have the right to circumvent the juciciary like that at will?! Every POTUS has inherent pardon power with no limits via Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution. It's another question whether or not it is wise to do so.

(note, he's 100% pro-live and gun rights advocate with strong little "l" libertarian.) Hope he runs for Governor or US Senate tho.

Whembly, when someone asks WHY something is the way it is, that person has already implicitly accepted that it is that way because otherwise the question would make zero sense. I wasn't asking what law gave him the power (as I was already aware), I was wondering why that part of the Constitution exists. It's demented.

Also: (Alternatively, you think discussion with other members here is useless, and then why are you still here again?)
