Just to be clear...that means: -don't burn property that's not yours -don't throw things at police -don't back highways -don't surround cars of folks driving If you PEACEFULLY protest, you won't trigger anything listed in that tweet. Ur dumb!

Can you please think through the consequences of what you're defending for more than two seconds? He can't. It's an acknowledged fact that asking him, who openly favor an Iranian regime change, who should be part of the transition process, is "not debating, but being as asshole". He can't think and he can't debate, and he is despicable . HBMC... Iran needs a regime change. How that happens is really up to the Iranian people and whatever support the rest of the world can offer. If that's not acceptable to you...then...tough shit. How's that HBMC?

Ok ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Name someone that you think should be part of a transition government in case of an Iranian regime change. Or an organization. Or a process to select someone. Or anything to show that this is not playing russian roulette with the Iranians again. (I'm such an asshole with my asking pertinent questions you don't have answers to!) I don't have all the answers. No one does really. Now, go back to being the Iranian bootlicker who not only still executes gays, but recently executed a famous wrestler because he had the wrong idea. You can't defend that HBMC.

Oh... looks like McConnell has the vote. Mitch Romney stated that he's not going to be an automatic "no" before the election.

Now, go back to being the Iranian bootlicker who not only still executes gays, but recently executed a famous wrestler because he had the wrong idea. You can't defend that HBMC. What do you think deliberately misrepresenting my point is going to accomplish? I thought you wanted debate . Your advocated policies are actively empowering this regime, and preventing reform. And it's morally repugnant that you pretend to care about Iranians who suffer from it, when you'd gladly accept a worse regime, as long as it submits to the US. Just like you do in Saudi Arabia. Despicable. Evil. You. The real HMBC on Dakka is going to be so confused if he is ever going to argue with Whembly. Fuck this guy.

That has to be the strawman of the century. Didn't you say you liked debating? Sure thing Jan. How on earth is this collective punishment? Here's thing. Don't VIOLENTLY protest. Just to be clear...that means: -don't burn property that's not yours -don't throw things at police -don't back highways -don't surround cars of folks driving If you PEACEFULLY protest, you won't trigger anything listed in that tweet. In other words... don't be an asshoe. If you intend to be this asshoe, then reap what you sow.
200 people in a crowd. One person throws a brick at a glass window. All 200 people are now "7 or more persons" and "involved in an assembly" and "cause damage to property or injury to other persons" and whoever financed the gathering is now liable for RICO charges.
Then there's the whole states' rights angle that is supposedly so important for Republicans.

Right... if you're peacefully protesting, but this one asshoe throws a brick at a glass window... I'd do everything possible to disassociate myself from that asshoe so that my message isn't drowned out. The state *still* has to prove that there were violent intent in those gatherings. That bar is significant and will only probably be used when there's sustained violence (like what we've seen recently). The one guy throwing a brick (if that's all that happened), would warrant police to give the lawful dispersal order, rather that stacking the paddywagon of everyone. What are you yammering about the state's rights? Sidebar: it's now the liberals/left here in the states touting State's rights. New found respect for federalism.

Last part in the image, restricting funding to anyone who advocates defunding police.
And you're misunderstanding, we're not touting states' rights, we're pointing out that the Republicans usually do, except when it suits you. It's bog-standard hypocrisy.
EDIT: Also, the image says nothing about intent. If someone causes property or personal damage while in an assembly of 7 or more, that's enough to satisfy that wording.
I'd also like to know how prohibiting state funding to anyone that advocates defunding the police is in line with the 1st amendment. That seems blatantly unconstitutional to me.
