Early prediction, they shut the government down for a month, blame it on the Biden admin. Soon as Trump’s in they magically resolve it. Ignore the fact the gop was in control of the House the entire time.

I was thinking that the less The Onion paid, the more he'd still be on the hook for. But if the figure was well beyond what he'd ever be able to manage then them paying more to the victims wouldn't be a bad thing. Though they could always have done both - lowball the bid and donate money to the victims such that it doesn't come off Jones' debt. |

The deal, if such exited, is a felony. 18 US code §599 - - Promise of appointment by candidate.
"Whoever, being a candidate, directly or indirectly promises or pledges the appointment, or the use of his influence or support for the appointment of any person to any public or private position or employment, for the purpose of procuring support in his candidacy shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

Space Karen is bad, but I don't know if it tops dog murderer for the joke. Lot of hard to rank bad people, with a diverse range of horrible behavior.

Part of me really hopes that it's all some kind of 5-d chess diversion, and that he's just picked random candidates for now and will announce the real ones later. Any AG will look good compared to Gaetz. But the rest of me know's he's deadly serious, and is slightly relieved that he'll almost certainly have fired a few of them before they even start |
