Maybe it's because I'm a Canuck and his vote doesn't (directly) effect me, but I didn't get too het up about Whem and his ridiculous posting habits. At least he was *trying* to engage, instead of circle jerking and sharing preposterous fantasies and self-radicalising over at r/t_D. The other side literally has a different version of reality than we do. You are NEVER going to pin someone down and get them to admit their entire worldview is wrong, and getting upset when you fail to do so is silly. "bad faith" and "Cancer" is absolutely going to happen when we have two diametrically opposed worldviews trying to have a disccusion. The real problem isn't dem/repub, left/right anyway. It's class, comrade. The Clintons and Trump were super best buds in the 90s. It's all about the boot on your neck and the hand in your pocket. You can say it's all about class, but from here your opinion looks like wishful ignorance. As someone directly affected by Americans voting, I'm pretty sure guys like Whem will be manning the watchtowers in five to ten years, yelling down into the camps how it's our fault for calling them out. |

To be fair, Mueller's team leaks NOTHING. We can only guess at what he knows, and that it's a lot more than we do. The only time we get stuff from him is when an indictment is unsealed and someone gets arrested, by which time they've probably been sitting on the indictment for awhile.
That's true and Mueller's produced a lot relative to other investigations like his. I'm just ready to be done with it. It's old. It was old when we were a month into it really, and the chances of the earth shattering result some want are way out there for me. Unless Mueller has something real ground breaking I think he's at the end of his rope and investigations shouldn't be dragged out well past their time just because certain people don't like the results.
These kinds of investigations takes time. As a point of comparison; Watergate investigation (26 months): June 20, 1972 - August 9, 1974 Whitewater Investigation (49 months): August 1994 - September 1998 Benghazi investigation (54 months): Sep 13, 2012 - Dec 7, 2016 Iran-Contra (80 months): Nov 26, 1986 - Aug 4, 1993 Donald Trump Campaign/Russia Investigation: May 2017 - ??......18 months, so far. |

I propose we stop gauging politics on a left-right spectrum. That in itself is just dumbing down complex perspectives into into a simple "vs" mentality for the sole sake of political rhetoric.

Keep in mind correlation does not always equal causation however.
I think it's safer to say there were fewer openly racist people in power before, and now that there are a lot more, the closet racists feel empowered enough to come out into the open.
