Yeah, but the judge was Already doing that the whole time, quite blatantly even. This is pretty much the last thing they can do I would imagine.

Surely it's very likely that Trump will impede Tesla from an EV business support perspective (or more so than the Dems would?)

Is he just looking at the likelihood of reduced taxes or de-regulation from Trump?

It's simple: Elmu is a racist moron just like Trump and the louder he supports Trump the more he gets the thrill of "owning the libs". Also, Musk began being open about his support for the right days before the reveal of his sexual misconduct in an article he knew was coming (he was asked for comment before publication).

He knew that the right wouldn't care about someone who tries to purchase sexual favours from air hostesses with the offer of a horse, because they don't care about Trumps many, many actions, not to mention every evangelical priest caught having an affair who goes on TV and cries for a bit and all is forgiven.

There is also the angle that Musk seems to absolutely crave positive attention. This seems to be why he bought Twitter as much as anything. He was happy to spout liberal talking points when liberals were all over him for his "green" electric vehicles etc. but as soon as they started asking questions about things like union busting at Tesla plants, he wasn't so hot on them anymore.

Then he seems to have realised the right are quite easy to court if you say the correct things, and here we are today with Musk openly supporting Trump and Xitter being a Nazi-infested pit.

If you have any doubt about Musk's need for adoration, look at what is the fastest and seemingly only reliable way to get banned on Xitter- insulting/criticising Musk or his decisions where he can see it.

I see the cream of the crop have made their feelings known regarding the Sikh prayer at the Republican shindig. I was going to express a bit of sympathy for Harmeet Dhillon, and say "there goes the Sikh vote", but she's a millionaire lawyer, in with MAGA up to her neck and a Covid denier too, so I guess she knows what she's getting into. Still, the abuse is totally unwarranted.

Federal appeals court blocks remainder of Biden's student debt relief plan

WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court blocked the implementation of the Biden administration's student debt relief plan, which would have lowered monthly payments for millions of borrowers.

In a ruling Thursday, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals granted a motion for an administrative stay filed by a group of Republican-led states seeking to invalidate the administration's entire student loan forgiveness program. The court's order prohibits the administration from implementing the parts of the SAVE plan that were not already blocked by lower court rulings.

The ruling comes the same day that the Biden administration announced another round of student loan forgiveness, this time totaling $1.2 billion in forgiveness for roughly 35,000 borrowers who are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

The PSLF program, which provides relief for teachers, nurses, firefighters and other public servants who make 120 qualifying monthly payments, was originally passed in 2007. But for years, borrowers ran into strict rules and servicer errors that prevented them from having their debt cancelled. The Biden administration adjusted some of the programs rules and retroactively gave many borrowers credits towards their required payments.
