Interesting to see that AIPAC, the pro-Israeli Political Action Committee has funded several Democratic primary challenges. Many of these challenges have been successful! See Cori Bush in Missouri and Bowman in New York.

You can see what a strong hold the Pro-Israel narrative has on US politics in this very election cycle. It is why we can expect the US government to stay pretty pro-Israeli in the years to come.

A Georgia square that was home to a Confederate monument for more than a century will now host a statue of the late civil rights icon John Lewis.

Authorities began installing the sculpture of the former Georgia congressman in Decatur last week ahead of its official unveiling on Saturday.

“It’s exciting to see it going up and exciting for the significance of what it represents and what it’s replacing,” Basil Watson, the artist behind the new statue, said at the installation.

Its arrival comes about four years after Decatur officials removed a 30-foot-tall obelisk erected by the Daughters of the Confederacy in 1908.

Area of grass outside of Toledo Zoo, which was a successful project to boost the monarch butterfly population and required no maintenance, was mowed down by the city because people complained it was unsightly. It was long grass and wild flowers.
