I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but it's even better than that. When Hali sold his company to Twitter, he took a normal salary instead of a huge sum of money with a condition that he was to be paid $100m immediately if he was fired, and Musk has now confirmed he's been fired. So there are multiple lawsuits appearing here which are all slam dunks given Musk has admitted them. The discrimination suit for firing him for being disabled, the defamation suit for claiming he did no work, damages for broadcasting his personal information and the contract suit for the $100m that he's contractually obligated to receive. Of course none of this would have happened if Twitter still had an HR department.

Musk backtracked already that he can keep his job. At least the Twitter lawyers will have job security.
Edit: the backtrack tweet in question

I would honestly say fuck him and make him pay up and file the lawsuits. He showed who he was quite openly and should be taken to course for it.

I’d take the firing and drag old Melty Face over the legal coals.
Drip by drip, get Shitter bled dry.

I think it quite depends on how long Halli can spend without new income. He'll get more money and a better situation with the lawsuits... when they are settled. And justice can be quite slow.

Plus you never know how weird the US legal system gets. Who knows if the tweets by Musk would actually be held against him by a jury. He won that stock manipulation by tweeting lawsuit after all.

Yeah he is so rich that justice often doesn't apply, see also the "pedo guy" defamation case.

He's already one of Icelands richest people, so I'm pretty sure he's capable of mustering up decent legal council and shouldn't succumb to the usual attrition. He also seems pretty popular, doing a lot of work for accessibility.
I can't find out any indications of his net worth, but one Icelandic article mentioned he made 100m kroner a month, which is about $750k, putting him on about $9m/year salary.
$100m is what the buyout fee for his design company to Twitter would have been if he sold it directly, so all he's contractually agreed is that if they fire him they buy the company at the negotiated figure.
The contract presumably didn't make any allowances for being accidentally fired and reinstated. He's supposed to get the $100m immediately, and thus has no obligation to keep his job if he doesn't want it. Personally I'd try and take the money whilst there still is some.

Personally I'd try and take the money whilst there still is some. Yeah bankruptcy is looming too close for comfort.

Twitter is working fine, you can say things there that get you banned on 4chan now. For example, I can tweet that GW’s new guardsmen looks like an ape, this gets you banned from tg.

I'm not sure that's a definition of "working fine" that any sane person would ever want to use.
