Yeah they are one of the best/least bad things of the site. They are great in theory, the problem is by design they take some time to appear on tweets, so many people see the tweet before the note and never see the note.

I am sure there could be no unintended consequences from this, like a massive data breach when operating a large website with a skeleton crew, or Musk doxxing someone who pisses him off with a tweet. ...are they still called tweets? Exes? Crosses? |

BanTheADL was trending all night, even number one for awhile, after Nick Fuentes told his followers to push it. You can imagine the sort of imagine the things posts (they’re just called posts now) from his followers contained. Definitely not a site filled with hate or the promoters thereof…
