Kyoto-san doesn't have any admin/moderator powas here, does he? I mean, no more "Destroyer of Boards" and what not. Even though they've shipped his ass off to Guyana, who knows how long it will be before he grows tired of terrorizing the locals.
Once someone answers that, I *might* answer your question. Can't be going around giving away national secrets and all.

They're both destroyers of boards. Kyoto destroyed one of the old OT boards by posting a link to a thing to block ad banners, which was a big no no, so they shut the board down.

Ahh I feel so old when I explain this stuff.... Kid Kyoto is an original spammer from the original Imperial Dakka. He spammed so often, his post count grew and grew...(much like Malfred...  ). When dakka migrated from EZboard, alot of us changed our names to something more fitting. I was Lord Hellfury, though changed it to make it less snobby. Kid kyoto changed his name to reflect his new, more mature status, hence kyoto sensei. He has stopped posting as kyoto sensei, for reasons I am not aware of. He has reverted to his original name of Kidkyoto. You cannot accurately tell a persons membership on dakka from its membership cue. This is all false. I have been on Dakka since 1997. This makes it my eighth year on dakka. Dakka membership status does not reflect this. This is the same for kyoto. and numerous others. That membership status thing is only good for the fifth incarnation of dakka (we are currently on our sixth as there were three other BBS's before even EZ board.) There is your expurgated history lesson for the day. |

Ok. I have E-mailed LL, telling her that the OT board has been reformed, and have linked her here.
Time will tell if she wants to come back here, or if she even wants to talk to me anymore.
It's kinda reassuring to know that OT is still alive. Even though I can't find Dakka anymore, the forum wouldn't accept my account transfer, my E-mail blocks E-mails from their forum, and I'm not even all that interested in 40K all that much now, OT has survived.
Even after going through...
*counts on fingers*
4-5 different boards, and a great deal of decampments.
That reminds me. What happened to the rest of the OT oldbies, like Listy and Wazz? I ain't seen them here yet.

I ain't seen them here yet. Sweet! It will be nice to get LL back into the fold, this place needs some unavailable estrogen in a bad way! As to Listy & Wazz, I dunno. I imagine they both got caught up in the board changes as well, as I haven't seen 'em on Imperial Dakka either. Perhaps Hellfury, Cudzor or another oldtimer can shed light? Anyhow, as you may know, I just got back here myself. A couple weeks ago I started lurking on the new Imperial Dakka board ( HERE, in case you haven't found it) and only started posting again last week. Right around the same time, Hellfury caught me lurking and PM'd me and pointed me towards our new wasteland. Most of the "new" OT'ers here stem from when they secretly took over the Warhammer CCG forum on Old Dakka and turned it into an OT free for all before Russ found 'em out. Rumor has it Manga Monkey went Wazzdakka on 'em over here, though that appears to be done & over now. Enjoy! |

Wazzdakka left after being pissed at Manga for some reason My feeble mind doesnt remember, Shortly After Manga went Apeshit then went into hiding.
I think Wazz apologized at one point, not sure(shitty memory)
