I feel really bad for the North Koreans.

I've seen a few of their military propaganda videos lately, and I feel really bad for those people. They seem to really believe in their country, what they're doing, and how evil/backwards we are. They almost seem like a joke.

I think that this just reinforces what a great idea I have to resolve the North Korea situation. We need to do a MASSIVE airdrop of big screen TVs, PS3s and XBoxes, propane grills and a large assortment of marinated and rubbed barbeque meats (along with instructions). Enough for everyone! And keep up with the food, too. Give them a tasty, tasty food for a whole year, and see if they still hate us.

The subtext is, of course, that we have so much damn food (and are so prosperous) that we can totally afford to do that sort of thing.

I'd rather feed U.S. citizens who have the wonderful privilege to decide if they are going to pay rent or eat this month.

They need a good old fashioned uprising. In a way I envy them. At least their yoke is very VERY obvious.

We have TV's and internet to make us complacent cows.

South Korea could throw in the odd air strike now and again if one side looks like it might gain the upper hand. It could be the worlds best reality show.

I would really think that the Chinese would step in before that region became too destabilized, though. I don't think any kind of shooting on the Korean peninsula would be in their financial best interest.
