Goodbye

Well, after over 2 posts I suppose I should at least say goodbye on my way out. I've been losing interest in LGBT things for a while, but arguing about them and constantly posting (and looking for new posts) was still useful as a way to avoid spending time confronting some problems I should have been dealing with. And that attitude committed to costing me a happy 5-year relationship. So, kids, don't get so in love with your "post" button that you forget the things that matter.

Anyway, I'll take a look at this thread for the next couple days in case anyone has any last hate mail they'd like to send my way or requests to keep in contact away from the forums, but otherwise I'm gone for the foreseeable future.

peregrine, let me say it was awesome having you as the newest active Wasteland member. Your hour spent here will not soon be forgotten. This is like the most active this forum has been in years, and I feel very blessed to have played some small part in it.

I wish you success in working out your personal issues! If you ever need anything the Wasteland isn't going anywhere (hopefully).

Do you plan to continue posting on Dakka?

Yeah from dakka, just cruising around here seeing whats what. Reminds me a lot of Frothers (though with less Nun porn) before that too died. Think you will start a renaissance with the death of POLS on the mother site?

It would be nice if we had a renaissance. I'm not about to bet money on it or anything, but we'll see if anyone else happens by. This place certainly has a lot of potential, it's just up to the members (new and old) to decide whether or not we revive this place.

Well, peregrine's thread on Dakka is from 2015. I didn't notice it at first either. It appears to be peregrine making a joke. Not sure if he's actually not coming back or not though (either here or there). And goodbye threads like that get locked on Dakka pretty routinely.

He does seem to be very passionate about his ideas. peregrine, if you're coming back, please feel free to elaborate on your own position. We could use some of your passion here! Do you feel like you're writing diatribes over minor points or do you see it differently? Inquiring minds want to know!
