Oh god, even with the explanations it took me a while to understand. Never watched Celebrity Jeopardy, and hardly even know what it is (afaik tv show with trivia questions).

Who wants to pack the Supreme Courts? Who wants confiscatory gun policies? Who wants to repeal the Electoral College? Who wants to provide free colleges? Who wants to provide free healthcare? But, it's republicans who have been actively working to ruin America for at least 20 years? lmao... if you want to know who's delusional... pick up a mirror. Just look at the current crops of Democratic presidential candidates. They're all pulling even more leftward... hell, "moderate" Joey Biden is forced to move leftward, such that it may become a liability during the election. This is all during the best economy that we've had for everyone. If you don't want to give credence to Republicans and Trump for that... fine... I think politicians take too much credit and blame for the state of the economy. But, you can at least grudgingly give credence to Republicans and Trump for not fucking it up, in the same manner that Bill Clinton gets credit for the economy during his administration (whom stayed the fuck out of its way). This. This is why Cons stay vague on the issues, and instead rely on feelings. Because when a Con tries to get specific about issues, they flounder laughably. They fail to pass even the most basic of logical reasoning. They need such a fucking mountain of cognitive dissonance to entertain that I'm surprised party membership doesn't come with rope and a climbing axe. Pack Supreme Courts? Fucking LOL. Refusing Garland even the basic formal process under the flimsiest, made up reason, then ignoring their own nominee for a compromised, objectively unsuitable rapist. Confiscatory gun policies? What are you afraid of? What does "confiscatory gun policies" even really mean? Felons already will get their guns confiscated and they will be jailed if they are caught possessing firearms. The big bad gun stealin' boogeyman *whispered* is already in the house. Repeal the Electoral College? It has already been clearly demonstrated to you, multiple times by multiple people, that the Electoral College is un-democratic and puts a thumb on the scale of freedom. But it is a thumb in the GOP's favor, so cheatin's okay if it's for the right side, amirite? Free college/healthcare? Why do you think the greatest country on Earth would fail where smaller, not as free or as great countries have succeeded? Don't you believe in meritocracy? Don't you believe in AMERICA? You put a man on the fucking moon, but you can't put your children through college?

The rest of the world seem able to do the college and healthcare bit just fine. Here's the thing... we're not like "the rest of the world". Why? Those are some of the "big issues" of the day. Its the idea that when democrats lose... they seek to change the rules, rather than adjusting to the political realities. You... do know that the Senate is NOT required to hold nomination hearings... right? Also, the SCOTUS has been an issue since day one... this back and forth between parties changing the rules has been ongoing for decades. It really ramped up when Democrats "Borked" a judge. *prizes. And? I"m not really mad. I'm happy. Just like during Obama years when in 2013 Harry Reid forced a rule change, now known as the "Reid Rule", that allowed district/appellet judges confirmed with simply majority. Republicans now get to play by those rules. Crack open the US history book as you seem to ignore any transgression by democrats. The whole fucking purpose of the 2013 Reid Rule was a power grab, and it worked: When Obama entered office, just one of the nation's 13 circuit courts of appeals had a Democratic majority. When he left office, that number had swelled to nine (I think Trump flipped one of those back since then). The era of Senate comity on such matters is long gone. Dead. Fins. D.E.D. It's only raw political prowess now. We've seen the lengths to which Democrats will go to gain an advantage in these high-stakes ideological fights, and that will never change. Remember the insanity during the Kavanuagh hearing? Just imagine if Trump get to replace Ruth Bader Gingberg. It'll be off the chain... Therefore, Republicans are left with no choice but to embrace the Democrats' own brand of hardball politicking... as Cocaine Mitch has shown to be very adept. Anything less would amount to unilateral disarmament. Cool And here I'll immediately ignore you as you're making shit up. Can these detainment centers be better handled? Yes. Are they "concentration camps", which is meant to elicit shades of nazism? No. Did you complain about this conditions during the Obama years? No? Why not? The tough truth for Democrats to swallow is that they don’t care as much about illegal immigration/asylum-seekers as they pretend. If so, they would have tackled this issue when the Obama administration wrangled with it, or they could now deal with the emergency by passing legislation to address the legal and financial problems causing this surge in illegal immigration and asylum fraud (while at the same time, extract a heavy price for it as Trump would agree to just about anything). Yet they refuse to do that. It's much more useful politically for Democrats to use it as a cudgel against Trump/GOP than it is to actually fix the issues.

You know where I stand on this. Yeah, a mix of “BLACK MAN BAD” and “America fuck yeah”, where a position is the morally correct position if and only if it aligns with US interests, regardless of anything usually associated with ethics (i.e. being a fucking bully).

There is no obligation by the Senate to hold hearings on nominees. Zero. And assuming Kavanuagh is a rapist? Man... the "you're guilty until you're proven innocence" is getting out of hand. I don't want Civil War 2 - The Electric Bugaloo to occur. *whisper* The US isn't a Democracy. It's a Constitutional Republic. There are 50 separate popular votes, because, states do have meaning in our governance. The electoral college is doing it's job. Has nothing to do with meritocracy. Everyone can get loans towards their Secondary education (pending of course acceptance from said colleges). For healthcare, it's already damn near socialized. The current crops of Medicare-for-all plans are a non-starter as you'd have to massively increase taxes on individuals and businesses. Not going to happen.

Here's the thing... we're not like "the rest of the world". Snowflake nation, it's so special!!! Its the idea that when democrats lose... they seek to change the rules, rather than adjusting to the political realities. Says the gerrymanderer lol. Remember the insanity during the Kavanuagh hearing? Yes, it was the Republican telling all rape victims “We don't care and we'll flip you the bird”. Therefore, Republicans are left with no choice but to embrace the Democrats' own brand of hardball politicking... Are you serious? Can these detainment centers be better handled? Yes. Are they "concentration camps", which is meant to elicit shades of nazism? Yes, they are here to concentrate people. The tough truth for Democrats to swallow is that they don’t care as much about illegal immigration/asylum-seekers as they pretend. Dude you don't care about people when they aren't American, like, not in the slightest. Because you are the SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE NATION or whatever racist bullshit… *whisper* The US isn't a Democracy. It's a Constitutional Republic. Oh, it's an undemocratic republic? Just like the Islamic Republic of Iran? Nice! And you support it being undemocratic? Very nice! Remember guys, Whembly think democracy is bad! Has nothing to do with meritocracy. It has everything to do with meritocracy. Everything. The power must stay with the rich and the banks. For healthcare, it's already damn near socialized. The current crops of Medicare-for-all plans are a non-starter as you'd have to massively increase taxes on individuals and businesses. Yes, that would be too much democracy, and we all know you hate democracy. Just imagine, if people had the same access to healthcare regardless of how rich they are? That would mean equality. But no, we MUST have the biggest possible division between the “good” people, the rich, and the “bad” people, the poor. All while avoiding as much as possible making society more meritocratic and preventing social mobility. Because that's FREEDOM or some shit.

This. This is why Cons stay vague on the issues, and instead rely on feelings. Sorry boyo... the liberal/leftist holds the monopoly over fee-fees instead of relying of laws & facts. "No you"? Weaksauce. Blasey's sworn testimony doesn't count for anything I guess. Can you elaborate here? Oh, bless your heart. You don't know what those things mean, do you? A constitutional republic just means you do not have hereditary head of state. (Canada is not a Constitutional Republic, as the Canadian government technically operates at the pleasure of the Queen of England, for example) The USA is 100% a democracy. For now. Asking your nation's future to take on crippling, lifelong debt, or go the military route and risk trauma or even death for your education, is not a way to create a prosperous nation. But nearly every other industrial nation in the world can do it, with similar or even lower burden of cost upon it's citizens. Why can't the USA, the greatest, richest country on earth, not also meet this standard?

Here's the thing... we're not like "the rest of the world". Snowflake nation, it's so special!!! We are uniquely awesome! You can't genrrymander a presidential election. lol. Zero evidence whatsoever. Due process is a thing you know. Or, we could keep going on how you're a pederast. I'm only following the rules that democrats wanted to use... Very. No. They're being detained until their claims get adjudicated or they willfully go back home. You have know idea what you're talking about. Not what we were talking about.... Right. Good luck convincing the public to massively raise taxes.

Whem, you can absolutely gerrymander presidential elections. It's all part of "packing" and "cracking", which you should look up before spewing garbage. Except the camps fit the definition of "concentration camp" perfectly. Here's a nice article on it www.britannica.com/topic/concentration-campFurthermore, there was never anything similar under Obama, you're just making shit up as usual. As for "liberals rely on fee fees", you're the guy who's doing that right now. You cannot say how America is different and why UHC or free college wouldn't work. You're the one ignoring facts here. I'd do a more indepth reply, but we all know you're a cancerous piece of shit who's only trying to drag down the thread by projecting.

We are uniquely awesome! You genuinely believe this. It's… pathetic. Really, really pathetic. And dangerous too. You can't genrrymander a presidential election. But that's what the electoral college amounts too. Zero evidence whatsoever. Due process is a thing you know. Yes, yes, let's all celebrate the rapist! Or, we could keep going on how you're a pederast. Whatever man. Let's see what you can manage to do with this. I mean, fucking Elon Musk tried that. Literally that, calling someone a pedophile without any proof or credibility because Elon is a piece of shit. Guess what happened? Well, he got sued, and that's about all… Strangely when the accusation is completely baseless it doesn't amount to shit. You have know idea what you're talking about. Oh I do. Only Americans matter. And then, not all of them the same, ain't it? Not what we were talking about.... Who is giving out the student loans? Would it be… the banks? Who don't need them? Would it be… the rich? Power to the banks and the rich. Right. Good luck convincing the public to massively raise taxes. Thanks, I think I'll convince them by focusing on what they'll gain from it, like… free healthcare, and free college, for instance. Great stuff!!!

Sorry boyo... the liberal/leftist holds the monopoly over fee-fees instead of relying of laws & facts. "No you"? Weaksauce. Ok. When she couldn't substantiate it... no, not in the face of Kavanaugh's claims of innocence. Confiscatory policies will create enormous friction at numerous levels. For one, in order to execute such plans, you'd have to go door-to-door. For another, you will have "gun sanctuary states" where we'll have massive state-to-federal friction. It's a reciepe for disaster. I think technically we're more of a Representative Democracy. Your point was that the EC was undemocratic in the context of presidential elections. I assumed you were talking about direct democracy. Which the EC was purposely designed to avoid that. So, yes, I'm agreeing with you that the EC is undemocratic, which is exactly as it should be. So the US isn't prosperous? Furthermore, you need to grant agency to the borrowers. Don't take a $100,000 loan on an education that won't support the loan repayment. Because the fundamentals would have to change drastically. -Massive raise taxes. Good luck with that. -Cut provider payment rates (many clinics would shut down) -Cut hospital provider payment rates (many hospitals would have to merge or close down) -Heathcare lobbying industry will oppose. They donate and vote too, so its a large hurdle to say the least. -Other nations aren't as big as we are, so the economy of scales is different. -We're expensive to treat. We're older (boomers retiring), fatter and unhealthier than most other nations due to our lifestyles. -simple truth is this: we don't like big change. something catastrophic would need to happen for the public to get onboard. That's the sad truth.

We are uniquely awesome! You genuinely believe this. It's… pathetic. Really, really pathetic. And dangerous too. WHy? Don't you think the place you live in is awesome? If not? Why are you still there? Doesn't work like that. Okay. Stop doing that pederast thing man. I heard it from your neighbor, so it absolutely must be true. Better check yourself in and get some help. Oh? Don't like the presumption of guilt? But, that was them rules during the Kavanaugh hearing... didn't you know? Imagine that!So you say. Low interest loans by a quasi-public bank (as in, not any of the big private banks) backed by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. That's what they all say. Again... good luck mate.
