About the whole "playing by the rules", last time I looked there is no stated limit on the number of justices on SCOTUS, so the Democrats wouldn't actually be breaking any rules to confirm additional justices, no?

1. No, Trump started birtherism, or was the first celebrity to start pushing it. 2. I was actually referring to North Carolina's voter fraud where the republican nominee knowingly hired someone who has been convicted of voter fraud multiple times over the past ~20-30 years and was shocked that L. McCrae Dowless Jr would once again commit voter fraud by illegally tampering with mail-in ballots. Abrams is a whole different story where Kemp deregistered hundreds of thousands of people without informing them. 3. The Tea Party was started by the Koch Brothers, it's anything but a "grass roots" movement. 4. As for Newt, there's a difference between shooting down crappy bills you disagree with, and shooting down EVERY SINGLE BILL THAT A DEMOCRAT SUPPORTS. What you just did is the epitome of a false equivalence fallacy. 5. Wait, republicans live and die by "own the libs!" but it's democrats who've lost their minds? Not the people willing to gouge out their own eyes if it meant pissing off even one liberal?

Correct, dems should force another 5-6 onto the bench. Then we can listen to the whining about packing the court when it actually happens.

The end does not justify the means. And those means aren't even particularly effective to begin with lol. Trump has ya'll dancing to his tunes. You too, since you will help him get re-elected. How do you feel about that? They can't because the US confuses physical violence for justice. Bully nation. Whembly love the bully nation.

They'd have to pass a law to increase the number of SCOTUS seats. A democrat controlled Senate and Democrat President cannot simply nominate a 10th SCOTUS. That is, a simple majority in the HOUSE and a filibuster-proof SENATE...then a willing President is needed to increase the size of the SCOTUS seats.

There's a lot of gaslighting here because MUST. PROTECT. THE. KWEEEN!!!! The birther story started during the Democratic primary between Obama and HRC, that was perpetuated by allies of the Clinton campaign. So, saying "clinton started it" is misleading as it wasn't her specifically who said it. So no, republicans didn't have anything to do with the genesis of this. Doesn't excuses Trump when he picked up that ball though.

Following the link provided by Feeder it clearly states that birtherism started on conservative message boards before making it into the Democratic primaries.

Following the link provided by Feeder it clearly states that birtherism started on conservative message boards before making it into the Democratic primaries. I don't think, really, anyone knows how it really started. It's literally gutter politics and there's all kinds of crap like this simmering below the surface. But it never reached the national scene until clinton supporters perpetuated it during the primary. Really... snopes does good work on some things. But, when politics is involved it is indisputable of its liberal bias.

Anyone watched last night's debate?
Here's my brief review of the debate:
Sanders – Old man yelling is growing boring and annoying.
Warren – No major flubs, so good performance, even though her plans don’t exist in the realm of reality.
O’Rourke – Hopeless.
Buttigieg – Smooth and polished, but too boring for rageoholic Democrats this year.
Klobuchar – Forgettable.
Bullock and Hickenlooper – Would have made good Democrat candidates in the 1990s.
Delaney – He seems like a designated driver trying to corral the drunks in his car.
Ryan – Like the other second-tier white guys, good performance but not enough.
Williamson – I think she could be this year’s Trump: laughed at by the elites but appreciated by those who find the debate to be predictable and stale. She doesn’t talk policy at all, except for in the vaguest terms, but she has an appeal to those who respond viscerally to her leftist-populist anti-establishment message. Seriously, she'll confront the "dark psychic forces" with a gusto!!

I'm starting to like this chick.... Furthermore, I find it interesting that the two topics which were not discussed tonight were the Mueller Report and impeachment. Hmmmm....I wonder why....
