Choad? Rioters and Looters are criminals So that means you must prevent local government from reducing the police budget. They are allowed to increase it, but never, ever, to decrease it. Somehow. Fucking idiot. Dumb as shit. No, what's dumb as shit is destroying the police. How is that any different that you calling me despic? Nah. Then don't respond to me. Easy peasy. So sorry you have to view differing opinions. Need a kleenex? You are quite adept in falsely assuming quite a lot here. It's *you* who don't care. You're using the US' Iran policy as a crudgel against anyone in the US. You have no credible desire for good things for the people of Iran. Because if you were, you'd be fighting like the dickens to change the current regime.

No, no it isn't. Merely "opinion" would imply that there's no underlying logic behind it. Even you agreed that the Senate is dysfunctional by design.
The opinion here is that you think it's "bad" or a "worse" system than a parliamentry system. That, dude is an opinion. What you call dysfunction, is really a purposely built framework to assure that our system of governance survives.

Defunding the police isn't actually destroying the police though.

That's the *point*.
There's a reason why the US is the only Western country with its kind of system.

See how incredibly easy it would be to get caught up in this draconian law? YOU WERE HERE and you had NO IDEA there was criminal property damage. You didn't try and stop it, or try to leave, like you suggested up thread, because you were one person in a huge crowd, and criminalizing an ENTIRE CROWD because of the actions of a few is BLATANTLY UNDEMOCRATIC. Y'all should take a page from the leftist hellhole of Vancouver City, when they had their post Cup heartbreak riots in 2011. They used ACTUAL POLICE WORK and eventually arrested and charged 268 people for crimes committed during the riots. The law as proposed is undemocratic as anything, and I'm disappointed a lover of liberty such as yourself is defending it. Holy. Fucking. Shit. That was a celebration. No one was destroying property or burning shit. Get a grip. Watch the video I kindly linked for you

True. It is intentionally a deliberative body, such that some called it the "World's Greatest Deliberative Body". There's a reason why the US has been so successful as the "young" country in history.

No, what's dumb as shit is destroying the police. No, what's dumb as shit is you. How is that any different that you calling me despic? It's different because you really are despicable. And also it's different because I explicitly said what I want: I want to annoy the fuck out of you enough, make you posting here an experience miserable enough, that you quit. I'm not pretending I want debate. I don't want debate because you have proven time and time again that you don't have a shadow of good faith in you. Didn't answer. What are you trying to get here? Then don't respond to me. Easy peasy. Nah that's not working, you'll still come here. But if I make that experience unpleasant enough, maybe you'll fuck out. You're using the US' Iran policy as a crudgel against anyone in the US. Yes, poor US people are being crudgelled ( ) by me. Boohoo. Oh wait no, I'm just criticizing those that support the harmful policies, even when faced with all the evidence that they are harmful. You have no credible desire for good things for the people of Iran. Except for the part where I actually have family living there, you know... Because if you were, you'd be fighting like the dickens to change the current regime. To get worse? I'm fighting to get reforms, because reforms are : - realistic - unlikely to backfire into something worse But really, I won't oppose fighting for a more direct regime change. IF the US was actually trying to create a credible Iranian opposition with a real commitment to democracy and progressiveness, I would applaud their efforts. They aren't. The way the US is acting? They are fine with MBS running Iran. Think about it. I know you are working very very hard to avoid having to confront the fact, and I know you won't event think about it, but I'm going to push it again and again and again.

The ability to expand into a continent's worth of resources while murdering the living shit out of the people who lived there? That worked for the Brits too.
