Democrats didn't deny Bork though.
Bork was rejected by everyone in the Senate. No one, Republican or Democrat, wanted him on the Supreme Court. This sudden hidden significance of Bork's rejection in nonsense. It wasn't an issue when it happened, and it's not an issue now. It's just a mythologized spectre conjured up to excuse unprecedented behaviors by the GOF.

But the Bork nomination IS significant! Reagan thought he could get away with nominating someone who was eminently unsuitable for the position. In hindsight, it signalled the start of the current SCOTUS shit-show. Republican strategists are simply trying to gaslight everyone into thinking Bork was unfairly treated to downplay the fact that Reagan was being a partisan hack.

Yeeeeeaaaaahh... The senate has to sign off on adding new states, so, unlikely. How about tax credits for registered democrats to move to the least populated red states? The system is broken. Again, senate.

It's gonna come down to the wire in PA I think. The difference is about 120k, with a few hundred K ballots left. Trump has performed better today than yesterday.
Georgia continues to narrow (both senate races there will now be runoffs) and Biden has pulled ahead in Nevada.

For fuck's sake, Donald...stop it. Seriously. You're on track to lose the election. Margin in Pennsylvania has shrunk to 110,450 votes in Trump's favor. Been shrinking since yesterday as more mail-in ballots have been counted. And if the Georgia Secretary of State website is reliable, Perdue and Ossoff are going to a runoff. Perdue does not have the 50% plus one vote that he needs to avoid a runoff on January 5th. Perdue VS Ossoff

The run off could be heavily influenced by how Georgia goes this week.
If Biden wins, the Democrats could leverage it to rally voters on election day in January. They normally don't do well in special elections because voters don't show up. A Biden victory though could seriously give them some tailwinds they need to have a shot and I think every seat counts at this point.

Margin in Pennsylvania--108,772 in Trump's favor. IF there is indeed 500K absentee ballots left, then Joe Biden is going to win PA and the White House.

About 47,000 Absentee ballots remain outstanding in Georgia, mainly in the Atlanta Metro area.

While we're on the subject of using every underhanded legal trick in the book, can't the President and the House force Congress into recess, allowing the President to make recess appointments?

Trump's lead in Pennsylvania down to 106,980.
On a related note, saw something on Twitter--can't find it now--that says Pennsylvania Democrats expect Biden to win Pennsylvania by 175K votes. Let's hope that happens; this anticipation is killing me.

So, it's interesting that Flordia passed a bill increasing the minimum wage bill to $10/hour, and increases by $1 per year until it hits $15, which is very much a progressive idea but they then backed trump for president. And iirc, a lot of red states passed progressive measures. I think it's a clear example that people want progressive measures and that dem's "electability candidates" are doomed to fail.
But that's already kinda obvious considering how biden seems to be barely squeaking out this election by trying to appeal to "moderates." Though, as an addendum to that, CA did pass a bill letting uber/lyft/etc continue to define employees as "independent contractors," which is very much anti-progressive.

It does seem rather odd that Florida voted for Trump by an increased margin from his 2016 performance and yet they also raised their minimum wage. Just to be exceptionally clear here, I do support raising the Minimum Wage to at least $15/hr.
