So the GOP has a court filing where they are officially on record saying that the USA needs no people voting, and it also needs no electors voting, and the VP can make up whatever votes they want to pick the next president (and also, very importantly, pick the next VP, including himself).
Fuck this country...

I'd like to see them explain Bush v. Gore with that logic.

dabblerI don't think it's going to get fucked up this time. But I fear things will only get worse as time goes on. The only way this stops is if the remaining Republicans-with-a-conscience stand up, say "no", and actively vote out the politicians doing this. Look around, Republicans. Are people like Trump, McConnell, Cruz, and Graham really the best examples of humanity you have to offer?

And so far how many Republicans can we actually rely on to 100% vote for that? I've seen a couple on the news but it seems to be the same few folk going on again and again rather than a parade of different faces, which doesn't fill me with confidence. Meanwhile we have several who are very clearly stating they will vote to overturn it. I don't think it's as in the bag as we'd hope

Fuck this country... I honestly think it's even worse than it looks because none of the people espousing this position seem to honestly believe it except for Trump. You have legislators in states looking to make it harder to vote (Republicans lost an election, time to suppress the electorate again!). Like, they're not so delusional they think any of this nonsense is true. They just don't care that they're perpetuating a lie for the sake of the 2022 and 2024 elections.
This country is fucked. And my parents wonder why I'm not eager to get hitched and have kids.

Audio of trump calling Georgia's Secretary of State and telling him to "find 11,780 votes."
Seriously, this is who people like despic and carlos support. They "don't like" what he's doing, but they support him regardless and justify this attempted coup as (somehow) the democrats are even worse.

Curious how despic is going to respond. Maybe he'll say “I don't care because Trump push for the policies I want”? I think he'll say “I don't care because Trump push for the policies I want. Also blahblah kids being called mean words by people who are not part of the democratic party so I can't vote for democrats.”

Nah. The old "I claim I didn't vote for him in '16 but I support Republicans in every other way and excuse everything he does or has done with at worst a "meh", never ever and actual action, so I'm one of the good, reasonable guys"

He definitely said he would vote for Trump this year, so the “I didn't vote for him” defense indeed wouldn't work. But POLICY guys!

Has despic told us his opinion on pardoning war criminals? I can't remember.
I mean, I don't know how more obviously morally bankrupt pure villainy you can get than pardoning war criminals.

"They're only war criminals if they fought for the other side."
There you go, that's probably close enough, right?
