Maybe an unpopular opinion, but not giving a damn when the person shot by the cops is unsympathetic to you is the entire problem in this country. We should be better than conservatives and not aspire to be as pathetically self-serving as they are.
What transpired that led to the use of lethal force? Did this person try to force their way into a room, attack someone, brandish a weapon? I haven't seen any explicit details on what lead to the shooting and apparently the cameras were all pointed elsewhere or something? The police should be required to justify their actions. Victims shouldn't be required to disprove them from the grave, especially when this entire incident appears on its face to be so infuriatingly banal.

Someone quipped "People asking 'where were the cops' yesterday are the same people who wonder where Miley is when Hannah's onstage."

Victims shouldn't be required to disprove them from the grave, especially when this entire incident appears on its face to be so infuriatingly banal. There was a very graphic video on Twitter on the shooting. The woman was climbing through a broken window into a part of the building where congressional staffers and police officers had barricaded themselves and were sheltering. From the video it appears one shot was fired, hitting her in a very unfortunate place and it seems she died before she could even be carried out of the building. Don't mistake this random thought of mine as unsympathetic. While this was probably a 'good shoot' as people in the US like to call them, an investigation and suspension should always be in order as the standard. I'm just juxtaposing it against the complete lack of action show by other department unless under heavy public pressure. Its sad that her family lost her because she sacrificed her life to the host of The Apprentice. This is a different video. You see the woman at the end in the top right climbing in, but not her dying, as in the video that was on Twitter: www.nbcnews.com/video/video-shows-moment-gun-is-fired-inside-capitol-as-rioters-breach-building-98986053872Taken from NPR

There's also the selfies cops took with the terrorists too. Who knows, maybe this will spark police reform, but I doubt it. and a video of it:

To be perfectly honest, it's hard to have sympathy for those who died in this, because many of the people involved are the same people who like to masturbate over that quote about "watering the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots" and other empty slogans.

Often taking the high road just means being shot in the back and this inviting putting a target on it. I'm sorry but this member of the party of 'Law and Order' put herself in a position to suffer the consequences of her actions. This is one of the very few times we can say with absolute certainty they got what they deserved.
This isn't some 'body cam malfunction', this isn't he said she said with the police covering it up. And it's bullshit to apply that same logic to it. You want the cops to justify their actions? How do they justify letting this situation escalate to the point someone died then.

The useful idiot who died tweeted something like 'Trump is bringing back the firing squad for treason' days before she was shot while attempting treason.

Yeah, I have a hard time mustering any sympathy for them considering what they were doing. They are terrorists who stormed government buildings in an attempt to prevent the government from functioning. Thankfully, their incompetence was their undoing again and they didn't really manage to interfere with anything.
I do worry that they're likely to attempt something like this again, but better thought out.

Investigating is the right thing to do, but it doesn't require any sympathy whatsoever. "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes" doesn't mean that we shouldn't investigate to make sure that is in fact what took place.

Agreed, always do the investigation, because it's the right thing to do. I do feel for those who have lost friends and loved ones to this.

I saw that before. Is it real? I assumed the images to the right were meant to make the post a joke.
Memes are getting so hard to tell from reality these days XD
