Isn’t he the one nicknamed “Gym Jordan” because of how comfortable he was with looking the other way and ignoring the most heinous of crimes when it suited him?

He’s the one who ignored a congressional subpoena during the J6 hearings, but is seeking to have Merick Garland punished for ignoring his.

I’m not saying America is looking pretty doomed. But, to the best of my knowledge and research? This doesn’t appear to be a Poe, or a Spoof.

I read a commenter basically claiming that the modern Republican Party is the Asshole Pride party. Their one unifying trait is to be loud, obnoxious assholes to everyone else and not have to modify or mask their behavior for cultural norms anymore, and DTJ is the perfect Avatar of the Asshole Party.
Honestly, it felt like it was a pretty on-the-nose analysis based on my interactions with hardcore MAGA folks in my deep Red, local area. They just want to be able to say and do what they want, without any consequences. Mostly they wanted to do this because they didn't know how/want to deal with a past trauma. Therefore, everyone needed to suffer because at some point they suffered.
This Vermont situation seems pretty on the nose for the Asshole Pride Party.

I think that's possibly the best summary I've read! Wish I'd had that to hand when I had my 'but what's wrong with Republicans?' conversation with a colleague a few months back.

I like the idea of having the ten commandments on the wall of every class (and courtroom). It gives an opportunity for people, both students and teachers to discuss all of the commandments that the Republicans and Evangelicals break on a daily basis.
Is there are commandment God-Emperor Trump hasn't broken? I don't think he's killed anyone directly but I'm not sure his hands are completely clean there.

Didn't he directly order assassinations? There was the Iranian general.

Didn't he directly order assassinations? There was the Iranian general. Oh I was just thinking in terms of real estate shenanigans, I hadn't even considered his Presidency. I think I've mentally blocked that nightmare out of my mind.

He called for the executions of the (now known) innocent Central Park Five before his presidency, not sure if that would not count only because he didn't have the means back then.
We know from his presidency that he loved carrying out federal executions.
