So the 10 commandments being forced into Louisiana schools? It's not actually from any version of Bible. It's from an advertising campaign from the movie The Ten Commandments.
Anyone surprised at the lack of understanding of the actual Bible they are trying to push on everyone?

What does this mean? The mandated text is directly from the KJV.

What does this mean? The mandated text is directly from the KJV. I can't be bothered trying to find a paper bible in my office, but the KJV text is here: (Thou shalt not covet... nor his ox, nor his ass...)
(Thou shalt not covet... nor his cattle...)
They don't *quite* match, so have either been redrafted or copied from somewhere else. The meaning is still the same though.
Apparently they match the giant stone tablets produced around the country which were done in conjuntion with the movie for some reason.

Not sure if you've used the wrong link but this link gives cattle in Ex 20:10. Deut 5:21 uses ox and ass.

How long until the church of Satan demands to place their version in all Louisiana schools?

How long until the church of Satan demands to place their version in all Louisiana schools? Pretty sure they'll have had that lawsuit loaded from as soon as the bill first went to to the floor of the Louisiana senate or whatever.

Might be holding off for the seemingly inevitable Supreme Court ruling?

That’s Julian “freedom of information and transparency for thee, but not for me” Assange is on his way to US Territory, having seemingly reached a plea deal with the USA.
The chief grifter may be free soon. Just in time to collude with Russia, again to fiddle with the US election. Well. Wikileaks will.
Do. Not. Trust. That. Man.
He has no morals. He hides behind a thin veneer of “sticking it to the man”. But is just a self aggrandising parasite

I don't like Assange as an individual, but it is absolutely disgraceful that he has been held in a high-security prison for 5 years without charge. Regardless of what you think of the man, that is just wrong.
Honestly, the information the US is after him for was right to be leaked. It involved a lot of stuff about US warcrimes that had been covered up, like the Apache crew gunning down people posing no threat in cold blood.

Funny how he demands everyone but him be held to account for their actions, isn’t it.
Almost that as well as an alleged rapist, he’s also a massive fucking hypocrite.

I do think he should have been extradited to Sweden to face the charges of sexual assault.
I don't think he should be extradited to the US to face trumped-up espionage charges for publishing leaked classified materials of US imperial malfeasance.
I can separate the man's odious and probably criminal personal conduct from his mistreatment by US empire for exposing their crimes.
In many ways, it is a huge shame that those leaks were published by a man who is such a massive arse, because it makes such personal attacks like you are making easy to do whilst sidestepping the underlying systemic issues being highlighted.

I think the risk was that by being extradited to Sweden he was pretty much guaranteed extradition to the US where he was never going to face a fair trial. I'm not sure if he'd have even made it out of the airport.
If I recall correctly, Sweden wouldn't offer to prevent US extradition and the Swedish police didn't even want to talk to him remotely.
He's definitely an arse, and the leaks should have happened (but in a more controlled way to avoid sensitive info) but the guys life has been destroyed. He spent 7 years essentially under house arrest in an embassy and then 5 years in prison. I'm curious as to what his plea deal with the US will involve, though I guess at this stage the US will probably just want to claim a win. It doesn't look like they are even talking about any further prison time which I'm surprised by.

Embassy was his choice. Entirely his choice. He was free to leave at any time, but didn’t want to face the consequences of his own actions.
Nor have I seen a particularly convincing argument why Sweden should’ve taken extradition to the US off the table. Folks have mentioned the US having death sentences - and that bit is true. But I don’t recall seeing any of the pending charges attracting the death penalty.
