So who is working from home? Who is laid off? Who is still working? Do you know anyone sick?
Around here, schools, bars, some restaurants and retailers, and the border is closed.
I'm working from home and the temptation to just play video games all day is fierce.

We're still working. Hundreds of kids all packed together because even though you can't have 100 people together inside it's fine to have that many kids /s
Fucking stupid. When they kill one of the old teachers or something finally they might close it

Company revenue has dropped 75% in the span of three days, luckily we're understaffed and the NL has a good support system, so we should be fine for now. The bigger issue? We're an importer, if our customers (retail business) don't survive then there is little point in getting to the other side ourselves.
Going to work has become surreal. Usually I commute by train. It used to be hundreds of passengers for every train, today I was one of only 8 people on the platform (its the start of the line with trains every 15 min).

Working from home, on the nice side it means I brought the very powerful gamer PC from the office at home and I can play video game, on the bad side I brought the very big gamer PC from the officer at home, so I have even less free room in my 14m² flat. Also if I want to go outside I need to write and sign a paper stating my purpose first. So, great time to work on my models.

Or out into the general public, like transit, shops etc?

In France, Spain and Italy you need permission to be outside at all, for food, pharmacy, doctor visit or necessary work etc.
Shops are forcibly closed down as those countries are in lockdown. So that's what he means by having a paper to go outside.

I work security for a large international biomedical company. My department's activity level is inversely proportional to the number of employees still on site(s). As more and more buildings and facilities are left empty and unoccupied, Security has to increase their patrols and surveillance.
Currently we are planning how to house security operatives on-site, if a curfew is implemented.

People in the NL are acting like its some nice holiday. Virtually nobody stays the required 1.5m apart in public... At least the hoarding seems to be slowing down.

I’m at work in the flgs today! Sales are down, and the gaming space is closed, but we still got shoppers.

I actually had someone try to rob my cart while shopping for groceries this morning. You have to be pretty desperate to go after someone my sizes cart.

We have a family owned local game store that is focused on board games and a part of their business is having a big game room with a board game library and folks playing some MtG hit lots of RPGs. Their public space closed early, and they tried to keep the store itself open. The main store is now closed and they are transitioning to taking online or phone orders and doing curbside pickup. I’m gonna order a couple games to help them out.
