I wonder if that will be thrown out, or if instead it will allow Musk’s money to bully smaller news outlets into quiescence.

It'll be a fun lawsuit given that the media watchdog almost certainly has pages of evidence that it's correct. So their cast-iron defence will be proving the advertising issues and hurting Twitters reputation even further.

A page right out of Trump's Authoritarian playbook. "You have learned well my young apprentice." However, it looks like there maybe some actual consequences beyond the normal ones this time..... Tesla shareholder calls on board to suspend Elon Musk for agreeing with antisemitic postwww.cnn.com/2023/11/20/tech/tesla-elon-musk-suspension/index.html

Given that this shareholder holds an infinitesimally small amount of shares, I'm not holding my breath.
Article indicates about 3.1 billion shares, this guy holds 16.000, that's what, 0,0005%?

Depends on if he gets others to agree. If most of those are silent institutional investors, a small number of activist shareholders can be a pretty big pain in the backside.

And all it took was for Musk to repeatedly espouse antisemitic conspiracy theories. Glad to know the line is at least somewhere between outspoken antisemitic and full blown nazi.

Surely Musky will be the first to support the idea that if no-one wants your product they should be free to not purchase it. If only there was a fan of free speech and Elon to step up and defend him and the great things he's done to what was once Twitter.

If only there was a fan of free speech and Elon to step up and defend him and the great things he's done to what was once Twitter. You can almost hear the cancel culture rant about businesses bending to the will of the 'socialist leftists' to torpedo Elon's amazing work.

The usual suspects are already parroting the blackmail line - that Musk won't be blackmailed or bribed by advertisers.
That the blackmail here is "Stop being so politically and brand toxic or we can't advertise with you" doesn't seem to have wandered across any minds.

Oh no someone will have to be censored again when TwiX close down! And it was all the fault of the evil advertisers refusing to give Musk the money he deserves, not because of any of Musk decisions! Also remember when Musk mocked Wikipedia because they asked for donation? “How expensive can it be to show text”? lol
