Do you see that? To be honest, I think it's down to Biden/Harris or Biden/Tulsi. Not really. To be honest I'd have a hard time picking Tulsi out of a line up she made so little impression on me.

I really don't see this, but my Trump-hating democratic friends says they like Harris, but worries about her electibility in that she has that "Hillary Clinton" baggage vibe. That woman baggage or something else? I guess what they were saying is that Harris has the same sort of 'Hillary Clinton-ish' unlikable attributes. I don't quite see it. Harris was an aggressive California prosecutors... but, that's simply du jour in American politics. Maybe the progressive base won't like Harris' "cop" background, but I'm not sure I agree with my friends comment that Harris is like Clinton.

The trick to picking her out of a line up is looking for Assad and then looking to the left or right of him >_> She is one weird cookie even in a field that has Marianne... There is an unhappy middle if you want to approach Syria the way Gabbard has seemingly wanted to, unfortunately for her she missed that middle and went straight for the ditch. I mean Biden catches a lot of flack for his baggage for being in politics for 50 years, but she has managed to take on almost an equal load of baggage in 20. Its just that she is unknown to most people. Anybody but Trump for sure, but please not Gabbard either, she might actually be the mythological DINO, with warnings of a certain type of pachyderm written all over..

Can you elaborate on the methodology on this study?

I can link their web page, but from what I understand they're applying a slightly modified version of the Human Development Index (HDI) to individual American states. HDI is one of the most commonly used indicators of human development but is usually used on a country-by-country comparison basis, while the linked map is, obviously, only concerned with the United States. Anyhow, here's the Measure of America web page: measureofamerica.org/human-development/#american

I just wished we can see the raw data to see how they've normalized the data.

Can't help myself whenever this issue is brought up.
Summary of Uranium One "Scandal"
- Canadian company Uranium One sells controlling interest to state-owned Russian company Rusatom. - Due to the fact that Uranium One mines uranium in the US among others, the sale has to be approved by CFIUS. - CFIUS is a nine-department commission headed by the Treasury Department. Other departments include Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, State and Energy among others. - Then-Assistant Secretary of State Jose Fernandez was the State Department representative on CFIUS. - The sale is approved by CFIUS, and a recommendation is sent to the President. - The President, on CFIUS' recommendation, does not veto the sale. Veto from the President has happened before. - Congress does not veto the sale. Veto from Congress has happened before. - Supreme Court does not veto the sale. Veto from the Supreme Court has happened before. - The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission issues the necessary permits. Permits has been withheld before. - Independent watch dog organisations does not raise questions about the sale. Questions has been raised before. - The sale is accepted, on the condition that no uranium mined in the US (about 20% of US' production capacity of uranium) can leave the US and must remain under US control.
Conclusion: The statement; "Hillary sold 20% of US' uranium to Russia" is almost ENTIRELY FALSE, and makes anybody who utters it look like a dumbass.

Tragic day for the US, 20 people murdered by a white supremacist in El Paso and before the thoughts and prayers train could really get rolling 9 more people got murdered in Dayton. Such senseless death...
The mentally ill garbage has already started for the El Paso shooting, god forbid anyone actually takes some accountability for stoking this BS.

Has any of the candidates impressed you? Weld, but we're not allowed to speak of him.
