Remember, they're a necessary evil, Clinton would have done something worse, and/or they shouldn't have crossed the border if they didn't want to be thrown in a concentration camp. I think that covers a lot of the right wing defense of them. “The guy who pardoned a cop that was condemned in court for racist discrimination isn't racist, ofc, that's just libel!”

How comes the same people say that “Communism/socialism has been tried and never work” and praise the state of Israel when 9% of Israel's industrial output and 40% of its agricultural output are directly created in socialist communities? Doesn't compute.

Also, appointing conservative judges, because courts need to be partisan. As it always been so. Presidents do get to nominate their judges.

Ahah whembly is avoiding me now, lol. Whembly, I'm just the messenger. Don't shot the messenger. Huh? EDIT: oh... missed this: Well its not just having access to firearms, if that's the point you're coming from. Okay, but then, what else? Other factors. Firearms is a tool. Another commenter argued that firearms makes it easier to kill/commit crimes. Well...yeah...no one is disputing that firearms makes things "easier". That's the whole point. Still...firearms is a tool. It's the user who's using the tool we should be paying attention to. Here's the difference. We have an individual right to firearms. We do not have the individual right to have access to medicine. Its. PART. OF. THE. REASON. I've repeated myself numerous times. Again, with feelings: PART OF THE REASON!

you're missing a word there whem.
It's also interesting to see how you value guns more than healthcare. Only in america are guns more important than the well being of the people.

We have an individual right to firearms. THAT is a pretty recent idea. You know, after some gun nuts with vigilante fantasies decided that "shall not be infringed" was REALLY important, while "a well regulated militia" was not.

"a well regulated militia" doesn't mean things like the National Guard homie (which didn't exist statuatorily till 1824-ish). It means:“The phrase “well-regulated” was in common use long before 1789, and remained so for a century thereafter. It referred to the property of something being in proper working order. Something that was well-regulated was calibrated correctly, functioning as expected. Establishing government oversight of the people’s arms was not only not the intent in using the phrase in the 2nd amendment, it was precisely to render the government powerless to do so that the founders wrote it.” It was understood as an individual right in the beginning.

Only in america are guns more important than the well being of the people. #AmericanExceptionalism How we can provide for our self-defense is more important. Exercising our 2nd amendment right still means we have to purchase said firearms. We're not getting anything "free". Access to medicine will never be "free", as either the individual or society pays for it. The manufacturers aren't doing this for free. #AmericanExceptionalismIndeed

Oh the irony. The price for "self-defense" is the lives of others, and that's acceptable to you.
But paying less than the US currently does for healthcare is not an acceptable price. Fuck off.

How? You're the one trying to make an argument about price. All I'm doing is pointing out what the price for your "self-defense" is really.
