It's definitely a scummy tactic to try and prevent any sort of accountability by the average person or society.

The ironic part is they learned it from the BLM protests. Videos of the protests were taken down because the protestors were playing music, not Because they were trying to get them taken down, but just because it was a gathering of people and they played music. Some people theorized that someone could do that intentionally, and boom, people are doing it intentionally, and it works. There was video of someone trying to ask police questions on camera, and one of the cops started playing music on his phone and held it towards the camera, and news stations wouldn’t air it citing the music. It’s going to be a niche then growing issue for a bit I predict, but they’ll rewire the systems and laws around it once regular people start using it in their defense.
