That feels like I odd one. Thought Trump was fairly widely criticized for starting a trade war with his steel tariffs. Kind of surprised to see this.

Widely criticized yes, but not be blue-collar union workers who Biden is trying really hard to pry away from the Republicans this election cycle.

It does seem out of character, but the Dems are trying what they can to give swing voters an excuse to vote for them. And….
Well, there’s been some loose talk about World War Three having already started, and certainly a bit more about the new Axis of Evil. With China in that group, looking tough on them might help woo a few more anti-Trump Republicans.
