After the judge saying he'd consider jail time next time the result for the latest breach is... another meaninglessly small fine.
Trump remains immune to consequences because he's an ex-president and powerful enough to make a mockery of America's idea that they have no kings.

He needs to be fined tens of thousands for any real impact. He’s a venal man, it’s all about the money.

Trump remains immune to consequences because he's an ex-president and powerful enough to make a mockery of America's idea that they have no kings. The Judge is also being careful to avoid giving them a "Legal Loophole" to allow Trump's Lawyers to appeal, declare mistrial, or other legal maneuvers after the case is over. Again, demonstrating the two-level criminal justice system for all to see.

The fines are limited to $1,000 per occurrence by the law. Also, I was not expecting jail time for them this time as the warning that jail time could be involved from the judge occurred after the latest violation. I could see any future ones involve jail time though.

So it's legal to carry around a rifle. 'Stand Your Ground' makes it legal to drive up to someone carrying a rifle and kill them and claim self defence. If Foster had fired first would he have got off scott free with murder if he had claimed 'Stand Your Ground?' Or as a BLM protester would his case never have been reconsidered? Abbott is real piece of s***.

Pretty telling that he admitted that the guy's rifle wasn't pointed towards him, but he shot him so he couldn't aim it at him.
Plus all the posts he made dreaming about killing a BLM protester...

Technically he didn't get off scott free, he was convicted for murder. That he was pardoned for political reasons is an entirely other issue not related to the law/trial.
The problem is that pardons aren't inherently bad (think of decades long sentences for minor drug offences being pardoned), so getting rid of pardons isn't the answer either.

Well, the point is Abbott claimed he acted in self-defense when he really didn't. Granted, Abbott lies all the time so hey...

But Abott could claim he did it to own the libs for all the reasoning he needs for a pardon. Self-defense is just a dog whistle for shooting the 'right' type of person. He just told the parole board to find him an excuse, what's the point of having a supposedly 'independent' review, when all its members are selected by Abott/approved by Abott loyalists.

It wasn't just Abbott. He could not Pardon unless the Parole Board agreed, and they did unanimously.
This is bigger even than Abbott.

Well, Abbott installed all the members of the parole board. Hard to think they wouldn't do what he wants...
