Maybe an unpopular opinion here but I'm not exactly thrilled with the prospect of WWIII happening in my lifetime Trying to avoid war often result on war anyway, but with the enemy having an advantage. I know, I live in France and we built the famous Maginot line to avoid WWII lol.

As the Roman saying goes, if you want peace, prepare for war.

Graham calling for us to shoot down any Russian jets that approach our drones.

Graham is a republican right? He is not on the MAGA crowd? From the few times I've heard about him on Twitter, he seems to be tough on Russia, which is quite good!

Hard to Blitzkrieg past and around the forts if there's just more forts.

It’s hard to know what he actually believes, as he tends to be Exceptionally spineless and leans whichever way the blows. He’s viewed to be a staunch Trump supporter despite his famous quote during the election that the Republican Party would be destroyed and they would deserve it if they elected him. He’s been pretty pro Ukraine and anti Russian in the past, but will say whatever the base wants him to.

I have no idea what afterburners look like but I don’t see anything different in the second pass compared to the first other than they got closer. Apparently they made nineteen such passes at the drone before that last one clipped it.

You can see them come on (or at least he has put his foot down) at about 27 seconds. Actually very lucky that he didn't go down too, that's how most air collisions result.

They are such dipshits. Imagine wasting a Sukhoi on a Reaper drone who isn't even directly engaged in the war you are fighting? Would be such a poor trade.

Yeah it is pretty stupid, although from what I have read the activity of 'buzzing' is pretty common. The Chinese actually lost an aircraft (and pilot was killed) in the early 00's when one of their fast jets collided with a US Orion I believe, although the latter managed to land safely. There are some horrendous stories from the Cold War too of collisions. Although some of the incidents are a bit better natured. One of my friend's dads was a reconnaissance (Canberra) pilot in the 70s and flying over international airspace, heading towards Russia. Some Migs came up to intercept them (this was a common thing done by both sides, almost a game to see how far the approaching aircraft could get without getting intercepted). The Soviet pilot flew up alongside and looked over. In response my friend's dad held up a page 3 paper* up at the window. The Soviet pilot gave an appreciatory thumbs up before banking away.
Maybe that's what was missing in this incident!
* for anyone outside of the UK who doesn't know about it, page 3 of a popular UK news rag used to have a photo of a scantily clad (or usually not very clad at all) lady on it.

Yeah, buzzing is common, but getting close enough to hit a basically expendable drone is really dumb. As is dumping fuel on it.
They are acting like drunks pissing on a phonebox then falling over on it and breaking the window before legging it.

That's not afterburners - it's dumping fuel over the drone
