That... that surely isn't going to go well for Trump? The burden of evidence is going to be the same as the case that decided it was more likely than not that Trump raped her. The defense literally just needs to point at that case! I suppose he can use it for more grift donations though.

Yeah, I'm not sure "She's defaming me! I didn't rape her, I only sexually assaulted her!" is the winning argument Donnie clearly thinks it is...

I mean, E Jean Carroll all ready won. This is just a waste of time.
I literally had to check the date to make sure it was current. What an idiot.

Just seems to be the typical Trump retaliatory lawsuit, aimed at draining his chosen victim's funds.

DeSantis tries to do something, anything really to give his campaign a boost. He takes a page out of Chris Christie's book and goes after Trump. DeSantis on Trump’s 2020 claims: ‘Of course he lost’www.cnn.com/2023/08/07/politics/ron-desantis-trump-2020-loss/index.htmlTry to thread that needle. He's done, another flash in the pan Governor who thought some national spotlight would be enough make them President ala Scott Walker in Wisconsin. He doesn't have the chops for the big show of National Politics.

He just came out far too early. If Trump had run his course, Desantis might have made a few waves. I wonder who will be the true successor a few years down the line, can't really think of anyone at this very moment.

The judge dismissed this suit very early in the process saying there was no merit to it.

If you couldn't keep track of who was or who wasn't going to be at the first Republican debate, here is a handy primer for you: www.cnn.com/2023/08/10/politics/first-republican-debate-who-has-qualified/index.htmlMade it: Mike Pence Ron DeSantis Nikki Haley Vivek Ramaswamy Doug Burgum Tim Scott Asa Hutchinson Chris Christie Met guidelines but won't sign the Pledge:Donald Trump Met Donor Minimum but not the Polling Threshold: Will Hurd Perry Johnson Francis Suarez Met No Criteria: Larry Elder Your mom

My mum does indeed meet no criteria, including the one that stipulates being born in the Americas.

My mom is old, scared and prone to confusion-fueled bouts of rage. She’d clean up at the debate.

Read quite an interesting titbit that it was Bill Clinton's 77th birthday the other day. He left office more than 20 years ago, but is still younger than both of the Republican and Democratic candidates.

I think Bill Clinton was one of the youngest, Obama and Kennedy were pretty young too. But the 'normal' age at which a lot of them get into office isn't as high as it has been in recent years, mostly 50's to early 60's. Reagan, Trump and Biden are just post war outliers.

It's only really been Trump and Biden that have been super old (post retirement age), most have been in their 50's: potus.com/presidential-facts/age-at-inauguration/I've no idea why though. Did the political parties just stall at some point? I know in the UK the average age of the Conservative party has been going up by about 1 year every year, implying that the party membership is totally stale. I'm guessing similar is happening in the US and the pool of candidates is just getting older?

Maybe just the Boomers being used to older persons giving them Everything they’ve failed to realise that it’s their turn to do it for the younger generations.
Because they’re spoiled, greedy cunts as a generation?
