Harris has more votes in Georgia than Biden did in 2020, just more Trump voters showed up this time. I'm looking forward to seeing the vote demographics. Trump has been doing relatively great with Black and Latino men.

There's also the effect of the alternative being a black woman, a lot of people who may have skipped 2020 on Trump's side may have been motivated to get out to stop that happening I suspect this is what it came down to: racism and misogyny. On the flip side a number of people were specifically voting for Kamala because "it's time a woman was President." That's not even a legitimate reason, and rank with misandry.

Well, that sounds a bit harsh. I don't think it's either of those two women's fault. The electorate has chosen, but it has chosen poorly, both times.

Also, I hope Thomas Matthew Cooks is burning in hell right now for missing that shot. We'd probably have president Harris right now if he had done his job and blown what's left of Trump's brains all over the audience like he so thoroughly deserved. The party of peace and tolerance everyone.

I'd call it out but I'm pretty sure Peregrine doesn't give two shits about what anyone thinks.

Also, he is just a single anonymous person on the internet. That "party of ..." commentary is so 2016, before the guy making such comments on a national stage got to be president twice.

I dunno, I suspect almost a complete overlap between "it's time a woman was President" and "not Trump". I don't think Kamala being a woman took any votes away from Trump, though it certainly gave some votes to Trump.
I'd like to think it's all due to some bizarre fraud that can be undone, but I think that's because it's so inconceivable from over here. In reality, people willingly voted for him, for whatever reason.

If nothing else, it's going to provide interesting study for historians and scholars in a few years.

Let’s face it.
Al Qaeda won. Big time. The gave the US a newfound sense of paranoia, and it’s never regained its senses, instead falling prey to racist, nationalistic diatribe designed solely to exploit those worries.

As things currently stand, there is a good chance Vance will be president by 2028 anyway. *fap*

First thought this morning was how can America be that stupid? Sadly, I can kind of see why Trump might win this. The MAGAs seem to genuinely believe all the scaremongering about how much is at stake by electing a marxist communist fascist black woman. They are desperate and voting for their lives, apparently. Harris didn't do anything to reach them, but I'd argue that may be because they are genuinely unreachable. Most of the clips I'd seem of Democrat speeches had been about how bad Trump is, which just puts them further on the defensive. As much as I enjoyed watching her on SNL & and Obama rapping to Enimem, I'm not sure that'll have helped with any votes. If it does turn out to be lost because of 3rd party votes or low democrat turnout, then shame on them. I really feel for the women whose husbands find out they voted Harris though. I've already seen one report on social media of a father losing his shit when he found out his daughter didn't vote Trump. At the micro level I can only see it ending badly for some of them, spurred on by the usual vile rhetoric. Maybe some of them will get lucky and have their husbands divorce them. *fap*

It's just so depressing. Not only for what the next 4 years are going to be like (although I hope cooler heads in the lower ranks can convince their superiors to mollify some of Trumps crazier ideas), but what will happen to American politics and society in the years after. *fap*

Well, at least we have an explanation for why right wingers are so convinced that people will fake being trans so they can win sporting events. After all, their hero can only win when he goes up against a woman... GOP is likely winning the popular vote... so... *fap*fap*

Farage already with his shitty snout up Trump’s ring, praising his “resilience”. Stupidity and pigheadedness isn’t resilience. Nor is simply lying your way through life, ignoring anything even approaching the truth. *fap*
